This event, held at Kampung Stunggang Melayu Lundu, Sarawak, aimed to raise awareness among  Sarawak farming communities regarding the importance of agroecologically based, regenerative rice farming practices in supporting sustainable rice production and food security. In addition, SRI (System of Rice Intensification) method was introduced and promoted as an agroecologically based rice farming technique suitable to be practiced by Sarawakians.

More than 80 farmers from Lunda and Bau, Sarawak attended this event. Several farmers have expressed their interest to practice SRI methods.
