As an environmental society, we want to change the way the world produces food by utilizing a more efficient and effective production system based on agroecology, food sovereignty and community based agriculture. We work with national, regional, and international organizations to achieve our mission, reaching all level of society from young children in schools to high level government officials.
Though a small organization, we are a diverse group of individuals and organisations; producers and consumers; men and women; workers, farmers, researchers, scientists, all fighting for a better Malaysia.
SRI-Mas is a non-profit, non-partisan organization working to enhance food security in Malaysia through the adoption and application of agroecology-based practices by local farmers—to ensure a resilient and sustainable community based food system. As a part of a global movement that pushes for agroecology and food sovereignty, we seek to achieve our mission through stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue, and knowledge sharing at all levels of society.
We envision a food-secure nation where everyone in Malaysia has access to safe and nutritious food choices that are affordable, accessible, and meet their dietary preferences.
