Emerging pests and pesticides resistance in Malaysia

On 14 nov, SRI-Mas was attanded Agriculture Technology Seminar Serius X organized by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). This seminar was focusing on emerging and pest resistance in Malaysia. there 6 speacker presenting their report wich are Dr. Madonna C. Casimero (IRRI Myanmar), Dr. Chan Ying Kwok (MARDI), Dr. Ooi Aun Chuan (UTAR), Mr. Chung Gait Fee (Consultant), Dr. Chong Sung Fook (Consultant) and Ms. Syamsiah Aini Shohaimi (VRI).

BPP 13: Bengkel Latihan SRI Organik - PACOS Sabah/Sarawak
7 November 2014
Organic SRI Training - PACOS Sabah/Sarawak was held in SRI Lovely Kg. Lintang on 7-9 Nov 2014. Organised by SRI-Mas and Koperasi Agrobelantik, the training was attended by 34 participants from Sabah and Sarawak. The participants were sponsored by PACOS Trust. Some of the Sarawak participants hail from Ulu Baram.

A meeting between Kumpulan Organik Kelantan (Kelantan Organic Association) and SRI-Mas was conducted on 7 Nov, 2014. SRI-Mas was represented by Prof Wan Mohtar, Dr. Norela SUlaiman, Salwati Ariffin, Febri Doni, Ihsan and Arshad.

A training organised by SRI-Mas and Koperasi Agrobelantik Sik on natural farming and SRi method was conducted on 5 November 2014 in SRI Lovely. Participants were from the Penang Department of Agriculture.
SRI-Mas visits to MADA Traning Centre

Dr. Anizan (SRI-Mas) and assistant Izzad visited the MADA Agricultural Training Centre to discuss the possible collaboration between SRI-Mas, UKM and MADA Training Centre in conducting a joint field training on SRI paddy cultivation An action plan was oulined and to be implemented early 2015. A preliminary site selection and problem identification was conducted in the course of the preparation
